Types of data
What kinds of information do we hold?
We do not require any personal information for you to use our applications or view our basic website. However, during the course of carrying on our business, we may ask you to provide personal information. We may collect the following kinds of personal information: • A user name and an email address (for example, if you choose to sign up to our newsletter or contact us and wish to receive a response); and • Name, address and contact information (for example, if you choose to enter a promotion and we may be required to send you a prize or contact you regarding your entry). If you do not give us any of the personal information that we ask you for, it may affect our ability to meet our obligations to you. For example, if you do not provide us with a valid email address, it will affect our ability to communicate with you, including via our newsletter. In addition, if you enter a competition for a physical product and you do not provide us with a name and address you will not be eligible to win and receive the physical products involved the competition.
Use and disclosure of your personal information
We use your personal information for the purposes for which it was collected and related purposes (which are normally obvious when we collect it), including to: • provide our services to you, to manage and account for the services, and to improve the services; • manage our relationships with you; • provide you with information about new developments with our products and services, and other products or services that may interest you; and • facilitate our internal business operations, including to fulfil our legal requirements and professional obligations. We may disclose personal information for the purposes for which it was collected, and also on a confidential basis: • to our third party vendors, consultants and other service providers who work for us and need to access personal information to do that work; and • as required or permitted by law and/or with your consent. When a parent discloses data about him or herself in the course of contributing user generated content, for example on our facebook page, the information disclosed is public information, and there is no expectation of privacy or confidentiality. Bizzibrains is not responsible for any personal data a User makes public in these public forums.
Other information we collect and use
Third party analytical software may be used to automatically collect and use certain data to provide us with information about how Users use Bizzibrains’ applications as well as how applications are performing across different handsets. We do not provide any of our Users personal information to this third party. Information collected may include: platform, SDK version, timestamp, API key (identifier for application), application version, Model, manufacture and OS version of device, session start/stop time, locale (specific location where a given language is spoken), time zone, and network status (WiFi, etc.) The third party that owns the analytical software may see some of this data including the IP address, device type, locale and timezone of our Users.
We take reasonable steps to protect all information which we hold (including your personal information) from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We take reasonable steps to hold information securely in electronic or physical form. We store information in access controlled premises or in electronic databases requiring logins and passwords. All partners and staff with access to confidential information are subject to confidentiality obligations.
Access and correction
You may request access at any time to personal information we hold about you. We may charge you a fee where access is provided.
